TOAST THE REAL HEROES
WITH EVERY POUR

When Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon at the head of his legions and marched on Rome, it marked a point of no return. The phrase “crossing the Rubicon” has since survived in reference to any group committing itself to a risky course of action.

FOUNDED IN CRISIS, DESTINED TO SERVE

In January 2010, a disastrous earthquake hit the Caribbean, with tens of thousands of lives devastated in Haiti. Crossing over the Artibonite River, the natural border between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, a small team of eight volunteers called themselves “Team Rubicon” in reference to the Rubicon River in Rome – by crossing their Rubicon, the team acknowledged they were irrevocably committed to their task of helping those in need.

Shortly thereafter, the Team Rubicon organization was officially chartered with a singular mission: to unite the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Since then, they have supported, trained, and deployed thousands of teams of veterans to areas devastated by hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and more – helping those in danger get to safety as well as to rebuild and fortify those ravaged communities for long term success and stability.
